Born in the United States, in 1975, Cooper is an actor, director, screenwriter and producer. As an actor, he was nominated to the Oscars for his performance in “Silver Linings Playbook” (2012) and “American Hustle” (2013), both directed by David O. Russell, and “American Sniper” (2014), by Clint Eastwood. Cooper was also nominated for “A Star Is Born” (2019) —directed, written, produced and starred by him—, to the awards for best film, adapted screenplay and actor. He produced the features “Joker” (2020), by Todd Phillips, and “Nightmare Alley”, by Guillermo del Toro, both nominated to the Oscars for best film.
