Born in Paris, France, in 1947. He worked for several years as assistant director of Marguerite Duras. He made his directorial debut in 1976 with “The Musician Killer”, starring Anna Karina. Jacquot revealed great names of French cinema, like Isabelle Huppert and Dominique Sanda, who acted together in “The Wings of the Dove” (1981). He is also the director of films such as “A Single Girl” (1995, 20th Mostra), “Marianne” (1997), “The School of Flesh” (1998), “Sade” (2000), “Tosca” (2001, 26th Mostra), “Farewell, My Queen” (2012), “Three Hearts” (2014), “Never Ever” (2016), “Eva” (2018) and “Casanova, Last Love” (2019, 43rd Mostra), presented at film festivals like Berlin, Cannes and Venice.
