Born in Tehran, Iran. She graduated with a graphic design diploma and continued her education in theater. She has directed plays such as Arthur Miller`s "The Last Yankee" and wrote and directed "In Camp," She has also served as a first assistant director for Shahram Mokri`s award-winning films, including "Fish and Cat" and "Assault." Her first short film, "Common Hole," received national acclaim.
