Born in Istanbul in 1975 and has lived in Berlin since 2000. She graduated from the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Film & TV in 1999, and immediately afterwards she made the short film “Capital C”. In 2003, she made “Little Bit of April”, a TV movie. She screened her first feature film, “Men on the Bridge” (2009), at the 33rd Mostra. She also directed features such as “Lifelong”, which premiered at Berlinale, and “All of a Sudden” (2016), awarded in the Panorama section at the Berlinale.
