Born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in 1982, Kuchinchinrekov Graduated from the Kazakh National Academy of Cinema. From 2004 until 2019, he worked as an assistant director to Sergey Dvortsevoy, with whom he also collaborated as an actor in titles such as “Tulpan” (2008, 32nd Mostra) and “Ayka” (2019). In 2013 he directed and produced the short film “Gas Is Over”. “Bauryna Salu” is his feature film debut.
