Born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1970. In 1994, he entered the Superior School of Theatre and Cinema, in Lisboa. Moved to Germany in 1996 to study at the German Film and Television Academy (DFFB). Ferreira directed movies such as the medium-length “Breathing Under Water” (2000), the short “It Wasn’t God’s Will” (2007) and the feature films “Forget Everything that I’ve Told You” (2002), “Embargo” (2010, 34th Mostra), and “The Dead Queen” (2018, 42nd Mostra).
