He is a Costa Rican filmmaker, photographer and poet. He studied economics and political ecology in Costa Rica before going to the United States to study filmmaking at the Northwest Film Center, in Portland, and at the master`s program in Filmmaking at the University of Texas. Crespo shot several short films and a documentary titled “Nosotros las Piedras”, from 2018. “Not Only the Bird Is Beautiful” is his first fictional feature.
