Born in Niterói, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1954. She studied cinema and literature in Paris and returned to Brazil in 1979 to work with editing for Embrafilme until 1987. She has a awarded career as editor, and works in film of directors like Gustavo Dahl, Silvio Da-Rin, Sandra Werneck and Conceição Senna. Aída directed the documentaries “Expedito - A Country Poet” (2006, 30th Mostra) and “Abdias do Nascimento” (2011).
