The Kite (2003)
Sobre o filme
Life seems stagnated in a provincial town in Russia in the early nineties, and immune to the outcome of the fall of the communist regime. Victor Solovjov, a middle-aged father of a family, keeps to a routine in the police station and in the town prison where he works. At home, he is in constant discussion with his wife Nadezda, almost always because of the money they must save to render viable one sole objective they have in common, namely, to afford an operation that will take their son Dimja out of a wheel chair. All the boy would like, in turn, is to have a kite. Victor devotes all of his love and kindness to his sick son: these are qualities he never shows in relation to other persons in the terrible day-to-day aspects of his profession.
