Alma is a 20-year-old girl who works in a chicken farm in a village in the interior of Castellón. Her grandfather, who had, for the family surprise, stopped talking years before, is the most important person in the world to the girl. Now he has also decided to stop eating, and Alma becomes obsessed with the only thing that can take him back to his natural state: recover the ancient olive tree sold by the family against his will over a decade ago.
