Rosatigre (2000)
Sobre o filme
Italian Director Tonino De Bernardi has made a film of opposites and of random existential choice. He confronts the male and female aspects in men. He also divides the narrative, dramatically, between two geographically opposite poles: the south of Italy and the north of Italy. Antonello is a young Neapolitan immigrant living in Turin. When night falls, he becomes a transvestite, Rosatigre. Sasa, his best friend and passionate lover in secret, arrives to take him back to Naples. Between Christmas and the Feast of Kings (January 6), in Naples, Antonello-Rosatigre decides to put a stop to this life suspended mid-air. He wants to end the turbulent relationship with Sasa and resume activities on the streets of Turin. Rosatigre may be defined as a "Bildungsroman", or a novel on the development of contemporary youth. The protagonist may, then, paradoxically, become an icon to many youngsters today, forced to confront life and a world that revolves around them.
