Sunshine State (2001)
Sobre o filme
Mary Temple lives with her mother, a drama teacher, and her sick, temperamental father in a town in up-country Florida, in the U.S. She helps her father run the family business, a roadside hotel. Her marriage to Steve is over, and she begins to go out with an architect who is not from town. Her day-to-day routine consists in catering to drunks meanwhile avoiding her ex-husband. In a nearby town, Desiree returns, so that her mother will meet her husband, an anesthesiologist. Today she is an actress and makes commercials. In her teens, she had become pregnant at the age of 15 and had run away. The mother has never forgiven her and the boy who got her pregnant never knew his son. Both cities are about to undergo change for a football star, Flash Phillips has plans for the region.
