Actor, director, camera, victim, assassin... A man buys a used video camera and travels to Berlin under a new identity: Ludwig. Fascinated by the magic of cinema, he films his journey in an obsessive way and converts it into fiction. The film was made by digital process and takes on the subjective view that characterizes the main character?s records on film. "I want to do something spontaneous and use the advantages of digital video as regards color, texture, and handling the camera. In filming Over the Rainbow, I felt the same freedom I had with my first short-length films on video. It was like going back to one?s origins", said the director.
