Sobre o filme

With her maternity leave over, Amelia decides to abandon her boyfriend who is in league with the drug traffic, and abscond with her children in a pick-up truck. On the road, she meets up with Ana, a Spanish specialist in Mayan culture who smuggles counterfeit replicas of pre-Columbian relics to the other side of the Mexican border and is being hunted down by a policeman. Amelia accepts Ana’ company so that they can share expenses as far as Cancun. Difficulties in co-existence between the two are soon manifest. Ana, the smuggler, does not have a cent to her name. In addition, friendship or a relationship of trust are difficult in that the differences between them are more obvious than their affinities. Leaving no Trace is a stirring, good-humored road movie about two women with different personalities that are obliged to co-exist in an amusing trip across Mexico in search of a new direction to their lives.
