Tormented by the fact he had forced his girlfriend Katarina to an abortion, young Luka decides to leave the capital Lyublino bound for the up-country region of Bela Krajina. He did not feel he was prepared for fatherhood and is now in a state of crisis. Katarina will not accept things as they are and decides to follow after him. Dissension between them, however, increases, and the crisis is only intensified. The relationship seems to be at an end when they meet a soldier, Primoz. He seems to be so pleased with life: his slant on life enchants Katarina who sees in him the possibility of new prospects. With a new future ahead, they must decide what path each of them must take.
