Rien Que Les Heures (1926)
Sobre o filme
Documentary on Paris in the twenties in the form of an “urban symphony”. This is a nostalgic study on the poor in Paris, an impressive kaleidoscope of the city, filmed with resources from the experimental cinema. Strangers and tourist sites are recorded on film with oneiric surrealism, lulled by the rhythmic poetry of this type of cinema, that finds echoes in Dziga Vertov. With no plot, the film shows a day in a great city animated by silhouettes that stand out against the contrasting black and white.
