Whoafraidwolf (2000)
Sobre o filme
Actors on their way to Rome go over their roles and recite passages from plays by Shakespeare, Gorky, Dostoievsky, Chekhov, and Bernard Shaw, within a broad range, for a theater repertoire of international scope. Edward Albee?s Quem Tem Medo de Virginia Wolf? is recited several times over by different couples. All of those who are on the journey share an obsession. They telephone all of the time to a certain Baumann of the Goethe Institute in Rome to advise him that they are somewhat delayed on their journey. The actors travel in groups of twos or threes. They recite and periodically stray from their path to climb the Umbria hillsides. At other times, they stop to sea bathe, to stretch out on the sand, and even to make love. The passages recited by each are repeated several times over showing the development of their work and also the level of identification each has with his role.
