Sobre o filme

Seven children with one and the same fate: to feed racial hatred and then make war. Why not try and change a tendency towards this path? This is what the documentary Promises proposes, in interviewing Israeli and Palestinian children from the ages of 9 to 13 years, and whose childhood has been marked by geopolitical warfare between Israel and Palestine. At this stage in life, when there is scarcely any opportunity to be heard, the children speak out frankly and directly, without censorship. All of them live in Jerusalem or nearby, at a distance of only a few miles; however, they would seem to inhabit separate worlds. This film is part of a non-governmental project endeavoring to further an end to conflict in the Middle East. Promises advocates understanding one another, understanding differences, as the shortest route to tolerance.
