Clown In´kabul (2002)
Sobre o filme
A humanitarian mission consisting of 21 clowns from all over the world arrives in Afghanistan in an attempt to bring some joy to a country devastated by war. With their great big shoes, red noses, and idiotic behavior, they wend their way through market places, dirty streets, and childrens? hospitals in an endeavor to wrench so much as a smile from the faces of those people, especially the children. The colorful clowns are, in fact pediatricians who take it upon themselves to go out into the battle field through solidarity and humanism. They will not, however, be able to pass unscathed through the hard reality of Afghanistan: their “smile-therapy” efforts that they intend to introduce into the Kabul hospitals becomes increasingly difficult. The city is the first of a series that includes the valleys of Panshir, the Massud and Bamyan fortresses, amid the ruins of the Buddha destroyed by the Taliban.
