The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008)
Sobre o filme
Bruno is eight years old and the protected son of a Nazi officer whose promotion means that all of the family must leave their comfortable house in Berlin and move to a desolate area where the lonely boy has nothing to do and nobody to play with. Very bored and driven by curiosity, Bruno ignores his mother`s insistent recommendations that he must not venture into the back garden and makes his way to a farm he can see at a distance. There he meets Schmuel, a boy his own age who lives a parallel and different existence on the other side of the barbed wire. Bruno`s encounter with the boy in the striped pyjamas leads him from innocence to a profound reflection on the adult world around him as his encounters with Schmuel gradually become friendship, with devastating consequences.
