Sobre o filme
A drama set in World War II that tells the story of a group of Czech pilots who joined the British Royal Air Force to face the Nazis in 1939 when the forces of Hitler were initiating their military and political domination over Eastern Europe. Initially, the Czech pilots submitted to the orders of their British superiors until they began to prove their skill in the air. Franta Slama is the leader of this heterogeneous group of men whose greatest wish is to win the war and come back alive to their country. Brave young Karel Vojtisek, Franta’s favorite protegé falls in love with Susan, an English woman who is older than he is, whose husband is a soldier who is said to have disappeared in action. When Franta and Susan come closer, this precarious balance begins to fall apart.
