Parallel Worlds (2001)
Sobre o filme
Why does love come to an end? This is the question asked by Petr Václav in this film on the final throes of a long, profound relationship between a woman of 28 and a middle-aged man. They stay together for some years, influence one another, share an intriguing world of experiences... However, life now draws them to divers paths. In a study of the deepest love between a man and a woman, Parallel Worlds describes not only the anatomy of the end to a love affair, but also the values of a generation, the political ambience and social atmosphere of the Czech Republic. Just as in Marian, a previous feature, Václav works with documental obsession to portray common reality, but without losing sight of his recurring leitmotif, namely loneliness.
