Sobre o filme

Milla is a teenager who dreams all of the time of leaving Finland and of how happy she would be after that. However, she can not attain her objectives, for she lacks the maturity and independence to put her plans into practice - until Aki appears on the scene. He is older, an unmarried father who had been her teacher some years previously. Although he bears a tragic past and is somewhat mysterious, Aki means safety to frail Milla who can see in him the possibility of carrying out the dream of a lifetime. They fall more and more deeply in love and develop an obsessive love for each other, an ideal setting for the escapism in each. The appearances on which Milla and Aki?s love affair are built begin rapidly to fall apart. They are astounded to find that it will not be all that easy for their lives to take a new turn.
