Piyal is 23 years old. Troubled by feelings of guilt over his mother’ death, he decides to leave his family and moves to the city, renting an old apartment adjacent to Amanda’ house. She is 32 years old. At the beginning she is just a woman who feeds his fantasies, but later, he begins to seek in her what his mother no longer provides. He finds out that she’ suffering from cancer after he sleeps with her and suffers further bouts of guilt. Abandoning all myths associated with a man and a woman and their relationship, Piyal seeks the reality of his mother’ death through it all.
