Iranian Spread (2002)
Sobre o filme
A false note of one thousand tomans floats into a bazaar as if from nowhere. One thousand tomans means a great deal for an Iranian and, because it is such a large amount, noone wants to be caught with the note. The false note travels from hand to hand, from one deceived vendor to another. First, a street vendor is to get rid of it and pass it on to a roadside fruit vendor who, in turn, pays a taxi driver with the note and gets to actually keep the change. Nobody knows how, but the false note eventually falls into the hands of a beggar who gives it to his nephew as a wedding present. The note finally falls into the hands of a doctor who performs abortions on the wayside. The saga of the false note is to continue until he, like the others, tries to get out of the situation and exchange it for real money.
