Sobre o filme

Documentary on French poet Jean Genet and his relationship with the people of Palestine. Genet visits a refugee camp at Shatila, near Beirut, one day, following the September, 1982 massacre. With cancer of the throat and not having written one single line for years, Genet, himself literally on the eve of his death, begins to write about this unsettling experience. This report is to be his last book, Un Captif Amoureux, where the author reflects on the Palestinian revolution, their defeat and loss of territory. A young French woman of Algerian descent is reading the book and, in search of Genet, returns to the scene of Palestine resistance and to the refugee camps crowded with those exiled.
