Life, dreams, intimacy of three rappers from Rio who are engaged in making a musical chronicle of the city. Macarrão, age 33, the father of two daughters is an agent for the illegal lottery and lives in the Morro de Zinco shanty town in Estácio. Combatente, age 21, works as a telemarketing operator, is a church-goer (Santo Daime church) and lives in the Vigário Geral shanty town. Toghum, age 32,
is a salesman for esoteric products, a Buddhist, resident in Cavalcante. The film describes the place of work, makeshift studios, pirate radios, religious ceremonies, the house and family of three, trying to understand how rap changed their day-to-day existence, and how they use the experience of life to write the lyrics to the songs.
