Blind Spot. Hitler`s Secretary (2001)
Sobre o filme
Traudl Junge was Hitler’s private secretary from autumn, 1942 until the collapse of the Nazi regime in 1945. She accompanied him everywhere, whether in his exclusive train, or in the Führer’s bunker. It was there that Hitler dictated his last will and testament to her. Now age 81, Traudl Junge speaks for the first time in history in front of a camera. In the spring of 2001, director André Heller finally managed to convince her of the importance of recording her memories for posterity. She proves to have an exceptional memory, and also reveals her personal doubts and reflections. Ten hours of material were recorded in all, of which 90 minutes were edited for the documentary without use of images on file. Junge proves herself a fierce adversary to national-socialism, but also a perplexed elderly woman as incapable as a naïve girl, in not identifying the gravity of the situation with which she collaborated.
