Intimate Enemies (2008)
Sobre o filme
This is a story about eight characters suffering from various ailments: a doctor who does not acknowledge his homosexuality, a woman who refuses to accept that she is growing old, a deaf nurse and her diabetic mother, a failed writer, an autistic child, a young pregnant woman and an adolescent in a coma, who are linked together by the fact that one of them, Guillermo is diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his kidney. The “diseases” are wide and varied: emotional, physical and social, and, like cancer, they consume the characters. All the stories take place within the framework of a city that is falling apart… a victim of its own multiple ailments. Intimate Enemies is about the process through which the various characters assume or reject their ailments and how, in the end, after discovering that they are their own worst enemies, they get a second chance in life.
