Sunday (2001)
Sobre o filme
On January 30, 1972, British military troops opened fire against unarmed civilians taking part in a manifestation pro civil rights in Londonderry, in Northern Ireland with a toll of 13 dead (six of them age 17) and 15 severely wounded. This film is a reconstitution of the episode known as Bloody Sunday, based on scores of interviews with survivors and relatives of those killed in the massacre. Sunday broaches the background to and the political consequences of the event, a period extending from 1968 to 1973. The first official court case of English government action was conducted by Lord Widgery in 1972 and took place subsequent to the killing.
