Sobre o filme

He is Pig. She is Runt. Their fate was determined in the maternity. They were born on the same day, in the same hospital, and almost at the same moment. They were born from different mothers, but this is but a detail. As from the first moment, only they counted in their lives. Absolute harmony was theirs during all of their childhood and adolescence. Now, on the eve of becoming 17, the transformations begin. Runt comes close to Marky, her class mate. One day, in a discotheque, Marky tries to kiss her and Pig is driven wild with jealousy. The relationship between both is of concern to parents and teachers. Runt is then sent to a school in Donegal County in northwest Ireland. Without her, Pig’s world begins to come apart. He feels he is being sucked under by a whirlpool of gratuitous violence and autodestruction. Only one thought drives his actions: a desire to spend his birthday with Runt. She also misses Pig, but in a different way. On the morning of his birthday, Pig goes to meet Runt. The two see each other, but there is already distance between them.
