Anja is so very bitter about life, she is on the verge of throwing herself from the heights of a bridge. At that very moment, Henry drives past in his car. He thinks she is a prostitute and invites her home with him, although he suspects she is not what she seems to be. Anja pretends to be a prostitute and refuses to explain the reasons for her attempted suicide. Later, Anja steals Henry’s wallet and runs away, but he succeeds in catching her. To set her free, he demands she tell him a story. Anja then tells him of Lilly who was raped and then killed someone. Henry is left with the impression that Lilly and Anja are one and the same person. They make love, and then Henry wants her to go away. She goes, but is back again soon after, and a series of strange events are an upheaval in Henry’s life.
