Night Mail (1936)
Sobre o filme
Considered a classic from the British Documentary Movement, at its height in the thirties, Night Mail was made to explain to the post office personnel how the journey of the freight trains was made from London to Scotland. Cavalcanti’s work was fundamental, for it blended the verses by the English poet W. H. Auden (“train rails piled high like dead horses”) to music by Benjamin Britten, and to image by directors Harry Watt and Basil Wright.
