How Harry Became a Tree (2000)
Sobre o filme
In the small town of Skillet, west of Ireland, Harry Maloney is plagued by a recurrent dream where he sees himself transformed into the shape of a tree, then cut down to make coffins. He lives with his son Gus in a house falling to pieces on the outskirts of town, the scene of accelerated decadence for Harry. Believing that the measure of grandeur for a man is in the importance of his enemies, Harry chooses as his personal adversary an entrepreneur, George, the owner of a pub, and the most powerful man in the region. To make matters worse, Gus embarks on a relationship with Eileen, George’ mistress, a newcomer to the town. When Harry discovers that his greatest enemy is on intimate terms with his son?s girlfriend, he decides it is to be all or nothing.
