The film focuses on the work of Nise da Silveira for the Museum of Images of the Subconscious, examining the role in artistic activity when treating patients. In search of normality and what it consists of, the film also criticizes the limits of traditional therapy and the decadence of the patients’ living conditions. From there onwards, it goes back to the Fernando Diaz case, whose paintings work as an exhibit of his own subjective torments.
