Chou is a young Magreb living in Paris where he passes for a Chilean exile. He finds lodgings with Padre Leon, parish priest for a church on the outskirts of town. Chouchou can not get away with his scheming for very long, but he enlists the support of the Padre who arranges for him to work as a receptionist in the consulting room of a psychoanalyst. One day, in a cabaret, he sees his nephew, transvestite Vanessa singing romantic songs. Chouchou is enthused at the encounter for he is also fond of transvestites. He falls desperately in love with Stanislas, a customer in the cabaret. All goes well until the day Inspector Grégoire, one of the psychoanalyst?s patients with an unusual complaint, appears on the scene. Chouchou’ fairy tale is under threat.
