The Blood Songs (2000)
Sobre o filme
Kunio, the hero of this fable, is a man who has traveled the world over, but who is now obsessed by an idea - to glimpse the “other world”, that unknown, immaterial land hovering over time, space and the events on this plane. One day, in the temple where he sleeps, he wakes up in the middle of the night and decides to venture into a will-o-the-wisp darting in his direction. When he reaches the brilliant flame, the doors of perception are opened and Kunio’ dream comes true. Guided by the fire, he finds his way to a village lost in the mountains. The town belongs in the past, on a desert island, away from contemporary civilization. This is a very strange place. No sooner has he arrived than Kunio a “pilgrim from the other world” is taken by a sequence of alien phenomena. Among other adventures where he is the main character, Kunio is kidnapped by ghosts and pixies, all of which leads him to question whether this “other world” in fact exists or whether it is but a figment of his imagination, as always avid for extraterrestrial adventure.
