In addition to the fifteen episodes included in the original version of Flower of the Arabian Nights, Pasolini produced other episodes that were not used such as that in which Nur-er-Din spends the night celebrating with friends and once he is home again, is reprimanded by his father. He is drunk and strikes his father on the face and is thus obliged to run away from home and to follow a caravan of merchants in the desert.
