December 31, 1999. The clocks are soon to strike the passage to the New Year in Berlin, "the city of madmen, dreamers, and lovers", as well defined by Zippo. He is a passionate radio DJ who calls on listeners to make that night a night of small miracles. His fans include Toto, an ex-convict with a wish to forget the past and live at peace as a bus driver in town. All seems well enough that night, but on one round, Toto realizes that there are only two passengers left in the bus: a Russian woman expecting a baby and a drug traficker loaded with cocaine, but dead. And the New Year has not even begun.
