The passion and pathos of legendary poet Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) is told through the lives of two women. Vera Phillips and Dylan were childhood sweethearts. Ten years later, the two reconnect in war-time London. She’ working as a singer whilst he is churning out propaganda scripts for government in aid of the war effort. The two feel the thunderbolt once more, but Thomas is now married to the adventurous Caitlin. Despite their love-rival status, the women form a surprising friendship. But Caitlin indulges her husband’ connection with Vera is something deeper.
