The Invisible Truth (2000)
Sobre o filme
The ninth divine commandment (“Thou shalt not bear false witness”) is an indictment against falsehood, but how can one keep to truths and falsehoods if they are questioned daily through mass media? This is the bias taken by Pieter Fleury to broach the ninth commandment from the point of view of the modern world. For such, he sets forth with a team from the Dutch TV to the region of Srebrenica during the Bosnian war. In covering and editing the images of the conflict between Serbians and Croatians, the documentary shows how the truth we see on TV does not simply correspond to a record of fact, but that it may be filtered and manipulated by divers spheres interested in that particular event. This film is part of the series The Ten Commandments, produced by Paul de Bont.
